paris vs. new york

Aren't these illustrations by Vahram Muratyan fantastic?  It's true that there are so many parallels between Paris and New York, but their beauty is found in their respective personalities, which I think are very well depicted in these illustrations.

Stumbling upon these illustrations made me even more excited about my trip to New York City in January with my boyfriend!  It is going to be such an amazing trip.  Please share your favorite things to do in New York!  I have already started making my list of things to do and to see :)

anna dello russo

So, I've recently become obsessed with the fashion-forward Anna dello Russo, the editor-at-large for Japan Vogue.  I stole this picture off her website.  She's absolutely inspirational.  I love what she has to say about Paris (and I totally agree with her....annndd, I love that you can hear her Italian accent, even when she writes):

"By always PARIS is the best
theather to wear FASHION.

Magnificent squares,
Enchanting skies,
Extraordinary events,

are the perfect scenarios of
a parade of LOOKS.

In this city I simply get CRAZY!"

I love the simplicity of this room.  How awesome is that flag?  I can't wait until I have my own house to decorate!

Happy weekend everybody!  Thank god it's Friday!!!

wanderlusting- venice

These are from my trip to Venice in 2008 with my grandparents.  I am so lucky to have such jet-setting grandparents...especially when they invite me on their vacations.

merry me merimekko

This weekend I bought one of these Merimekko canvases to hang in my room.  It's incredible how instantly this one piece brightened up my room!  I love the boldness of Merimekko fabrics.

yellow flowers!

My sweet boyfriend surprised me with a beautiful flower arrangement after I finished taking the LSAT yesterday.  He even remembered that my favorite color is yellow :)  Aren't they beautiful?

shopaholic

I never thought I was a shopaholic.  But the past few weeks I've really come to understand its true meaning.  Unfortunately for my bank account, I have found that online shopping really helps me destress.  Orders from this past week include two pairs of flats, a mohair cardi, a few blouses and....two pairs of jeggings*.  And about the jeggings, let me just say this: I have seen the light.  THEY ARE MY FAVORITE and I want to wear them all the time.

With all the online shopping from the past week, I have come across these boots.  Sadly, I can't afford them right now, but aren't they incredible?

*I used to think jeggings were gross, but then I realized that if you invest in a high-quality pair, they can actually look really good.  I guess I was just seeing too many people with JCPenny jeggings beforehand.

paris in the fall

Satisfying my overwhelming wanderlust by looking at these pictures of Paris last fall.  Enjoy.

little homemaker

I love cooking and unfortunately I haven't been able to do much of it the past month because of this super intensive LSAT prep course I am taking.  The class is from 5:30- 9 three nights a week, and considering I have two other night classes during the week...well, there just hasn't been much time to cook.  However, I am in the final week of LSAT preparation, so I am already planning recipes I want to cook.  One thing I realized though is that I don't have an apron!  I found this one at the TerraceHill shop on etsy and thought it was precious!
Y'all will have to share with me your favorite recipes!  I love trying new recipes!
